Stellantis invests in used car restoration company

by red

The agreement between Stimcar and Stellantis provides for the development of several restoration centers in France and other European countries.

Stimcar, a company specializing in the restoration of used cars, has attracted investment from Stellantis through its subsidiary distribution company Stellantis &You, Sales and Services. The latter will receive the main share in the capital of Stimcar, while agreeing to guarantee complete independence of management and development of the company.

Stimcar already restores used cars for Stellantis &You, Sales and Services in the Nantes metropolitan area in western France. The customer is completely satisfied with the quality, cost and reliability of the work.

Stimcar plans to expand its activities beyond France. The Stellantis &You, Sales and Services company, in turn, intends to achieve a total sales volume of 100 thousand units of used cars per year in all countries where its business operates. All of these vehicles are subject to a standardized and strictly prescribed restoration procedure. These works allow you to bring the car into compliance with the requirements for obtaining the SPOTICARl mark.

By gradually increasing the number of used vehicles sent for restoration work, Stellantis &You, Sales and Services will thus provide a flow of orders for the Stimcar business, but will not have exclusive status. Stimcar will continue to offer its services to existing clients in the future, as well as develop and diversify its client base.

The agreement also involves the development of several recovery centers in both France and the rest of Europe.

Initially, Stimcar plans to create new centers in France, in addition to those already operating in Bordeaux, Nantes and Toulouse. Then development on an international scale is planned. Starting in 2023, new centers will begin to open in those European countries where Stellantis is present.

It is curious that in addition to the Stellantis concern, the Renault Group is also showing interest in used cars. Last year it opened the first industrial refurbishment plant for used cars in France.
