Turkiye September 2024: Renault (-17.3%) outsells Fiat (-50.3%)

Renault Clio is the best-selling car in Turkey in September.

Sales of new passenger cars in Turkey fell -9.4% year-on-year in September to 87,740 units. This means that the year-to-date figure is no longer at its record high and stands at -0.3% to 849,892. Renault (-17.3%) slides down, but takes first place from the falling Fiat (-50.3%) . The French automaker holds 11% of the market, up from 10.8% since the beginning of the year, while the Italian brand’s share fell to 8.8%, down from 11.9%. Ford (+4.7%) dies in a negative context with a share of 8.4% and ranks third behind Volkswagen (-4.1%) with a share of 6.7%. The following four manufacturers show positive results: Toyota (+37.3%) is ahead of Opel (+28.6%), Hyundai (+11.1%) and Peugeot (+4.6%). Nissan (+59.1%), Skoda (+47.4%) and BMW (+29%) also shine below. Local electric vehicle maker Togg (-0.2%) returned to 16th place with a 2.5% share after a mediocre performance in August (0.7% share). Newcomer Jaecoo remains in 24th place with a share of 0.8%.

In terms of models (PC only), the Renault Clio easily leads with a 5.8% share, dethroning the Fiat Egea sedan with a 4.4% share. The Renault Megane sedan completes the podium, ahead of the Tesla Model Y and Nissan Qashqai. The Togg T10X rose 34 places last month to 6th place, up from 7th place year-to-date, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro/Max rose from 21st to 7th place, and the Toyota Corolla Sedan rose from 21st to 10th place. -th place. Note also the Toyota C-HR up to 11th place from 32nd YTD, the Hyundai Tucson up to 13th from 27th, the Skoda Superb to 18th place and the BM.W X1 in No. 22.
