Xpeng ends September just outside the top 10.
In September, 4,125 new cars found Singaporean buyers, up 71.1% year-on-year. Sales volume since the beginning of the year increased by 48.7% and amounted to 30,567 units. Toyota (+22.2%) and Mercedes (+50%) follow the market at the top of the rankings, but have a strong share of 18% and 12.8% respectively, compared to 16.8 and 12.8% year-to-date. BYD (+202.8%) tripled its volume from last year but fell one place to third place in August and has to settle for a dismal 10.6% share, well below the 13.2% it holds with beginning of the year. Tesla (+555.6%), Honda (+175.8%), Kia (+92.2%) and Nissan (+83.7%) also lead the market in the rest of the top 10. In its third month of sales, Xpeng rose another seven places in August to 11th place.
