Sales of new cars in Russia significantly slowed their growth in November, amounting to only +11.1%, to 121,884 units. This is the weakest year-on-year growth since March 2023, when the market was in decline. Since the beginning of the year, the figure has increased by 54.1% to 1,447,841. Local giant Lada (+15.9%) is ahead of its domestic market, increasing its share by 31.1% versus 27.6% since the beginning of the year. Haval (+7.1%) trails in second place, while Chery (-2.2%), Geely (-3.8%) and Changan (-5.3%) are actually in the red. Belarusian automaker Belgee (+1187%) repeats its record sixth place with a record share of 2.6%. Below the falling Omoda (-30.7%), Moskvich (+37.2%) enters the top ten for the first time this year with a new best ever ranking (8th place) in volume and share. Jetour (+52.2%) and Jaecoo (+103.4%) effectively round out the top ten.
In the model ranking, the Lada Granta (-1.3%) is a disappointing decline compared to last year, but still easily takes first place with a share of 13.1%. Lada Vesta (+35.7%) regains the second place it held since the beginning of the year, after Haval Jolion (-22.5%) in terms of complexity. Lada Largus (+3342.8%) is revived and enters the top ten for the first time since September 2022 and even reaches a record high ranking of 4th place, which was also achieved in May 2014, June 2014, October 2014 and September 2015. Haval M6 (+34.5%), Chery Tiggo 4 Pro (+28.7%) and Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max (+13.1%) also outperformed the market in the rest of the Top 10.
