Dewan Honri VE is the first locally assembled electric hatchback car in Pakistan.
Sales of new locally manufactured passenger vehicles in Pakistan rose 57% year-on-year in November to 10,163 units on a low comparison base as November 2023 was down -64.8% y-o-y. After 11 months, the year-to-date total was 115,228, up 50.8%. These numbers are taken from PAMA. Note that Changan and Kia do not share sales data with PAMA, but they are reported to be quite successful here.
Suzuki (+53.3%) lags the market noticeably, but has a solid share of 52.9% versus 50.5% year-to-date. The leaders in progress are Toyota (+129.5%) and Sazgar Haval (+117.1%). Pakistan’s first locally assembled electric hatchback hits the charts with the Dewan Honri VE selling 63 units in November. Suzuki Alto’s share (+41.8%) falls to 27.1% from 32.9% this year, while Suzuki Swift (+232.2%) climbed 9 positions to second place in October. It is ahead of the Toyota Corolla, which is priced at +121.7%, and the Toyota Yaris, which is priced at +114%.
