Toyota Hilux sales in Bahrain increased by 78.6% compared to last year.
Bahrain’s new car market grew 15.8% year-on-year to 23,844 units in the first nine months of the year. Toyota (+9%) is unable to keep up with market growth and its share declines by two percentage points from 34.7% to 32.7%. Nissan (+30.8%) for its part increases its share by more than one percentage point from 8.6% to 9.7%. The following four brands perform the worst: MG (+13.8%) in fifth place, Lexus (+7.3%) in fourth place, Hyundai (+6.9%) in third place and Isuzu (-0.4% ) in the red in sixth place. . Conversely, Ford (+105.5%), Kia (+27.5%) and Mazda (+18.1%) shine in the rest of the top 10, while Changan (+7.9%) drops one position up to 8th place. This is followed by Suzuki (+228.4%), Geely (+68%) and Genesis (+54.5%).
In the rating of models, Toyota Land Cruiser (+2.2%) retains its leadership with a share of 5.2%, behind the rapidly growing Toyota Hilux (+78.6%) (52 sales in total), Nissan Sunny (+30.7%) and Toyota Yaris Sedan. (+39.8%). The Isuzu D-Max (-7%) drops to fifth place, ahead of three Toyotas: Corolla (+14.8%), RAV4 (+94.1%) and Camry (-4.6%). Ford Territory (+171.9%) is stunning and up 20 spots from last year.
