Private sales in Germany fell -2.1% year-on-year in 2024 to 915,633 units for a market share of 32.5%, down from 32.9% in 2023. The VW T-Roc (+36.4%) jumped one position compared to last year. pole position with a private sales ratio (PSR) of 47.2%, now followed by the Dacia Sandero (+30.1%) at 79.7% PSR. The VW Golf (+34.5%) is back in third place, but its PSR remains weak at 20.7%. Last year’s first-place Tesla Model Y (-31.2%) drops to fourth place, but its PSR improves slightly to 61.8%. The Fiat Ducato (+22.9%) moved up five places to 5th place, the Skoda Karoq (+82.3%) moved up 23rd place to 6th place and the Mercedes GLA (+15%) rose four places to 8th place. Strong PSRs include the Dacia Duster with 69.2%, Skoda Kamiq with 60%, Cupra Born with 72.7%, Dacia Jogger with 70.4%, Citroen Jumper with 71.1% and Mercedes B Class with 79.8%.
