Greece February 2024: Suzuki (+145.3%), Fiat (+146.1%) shine in sturdy market

Fiat Panda sales rose 261.6% year-on-year in February.

The Greek new car market in February grew by a magnificent 15% year-on-year to 11,451 sales, resulting in year-to-date sales up 18.1% to 24,203 units. Toyota (+44.6%) is well ahead of the fast-growing market, reaching a share of 15.6%, well ahead of Citroen (+9.4%) with an 8.8% share. Peugeot (-24.2%) dropped to third place, but remains in second place since the beginning of the year. Hyundai (+29.5%) doubles the market’s growth in 4th place, but Suzuki (+145.3%) does even better this year, coming in 5th and 4th. Fiat (+146.1%) leads the growth chart, followed by Tesla (+167.3%), Seat (+59.1%) and Nissan (+41.4%). Newcomer MG dropped five places from last month to 18th place.

In terms of models, the Toyota Yaris (+115.8%) regains the top spot for the first time since September last year, dethroning the Citroen C3 (-3.8%) which nevertheless remains No. 1 year-to-date. Peugeot 2008 (+728.4%) showed a surreal increase compared to last year and remained in third place both for the month and year-to-date, compared to ninth place for the whole of 2023. The Suzuki Vitara (+249%) and Fiat Panda (+261.6%) are also in fantastic form in 4th and 6th place, as is the Hyundai i30 (+476.5%) in 9th place.
