2024 will be another record year for wholesale sales in India, with growth of 4.6%, or 190,000 units, compared to 2023, which was already a record. This is the second month in a row (and never) that the market has crossed the 4 million unit mark. Let us remind you that the 3 million mark was surpassed not so long ago, in 2017. The volume record for all months was broken twice during the year, to 393,471 in January and 397,947 in October. Monthly records were set from January to June and from October to December.
No fewer than six automakers posted their best annual sales this year, with Maruti Suzuki (+2.8%), Hyundai (+0.6%), Tata (+2.1%), Mahindra (+22%) making up the top five ) and Toyota.
