Toyota Land Cruiser holds 18.2% of the Lebanese market in the first quarter.
In the first quarter of 2024, 6,543 new cars appeared on Lebanese roads. Toyota is strengthening its control over the market and holds a fantastic share of 40.8%. Nissan follows with 31.5%, versus just 6.6% for the full year 2022. Mitsubishi is in free fall with 8.8% versus 15.2%, with Lexus and Kia rounding out the top five. Hyundai and GMC are in the top ten, while Renault’s share will fall from 7.6% in 2022 to just 1% in 2024.
In terms of models, the top three are gaining extravagant shares and collectively occupy 44.9% of the market. The Toyota Land Cruiser leads the way with 18.2%, followed by the Nissan Patrol with 13.4% and the Nissan Sunny with 13.3%. Far below is the Toyota Hilux, favoring the Mitsubishi L200 Diesel and Toyota Prado. Nisan Kicks, Xterra and Toyota Fortuner are among the top ten.
