In 2023, Mazda sales are up 82% year-over-year.
In 2023, the Mauritius new car market grew by 16.5% year-on-year to a record 14,295 units, beating the previous record of 12,271 units set just last year. Suzuki (+25%) strengthens its position in the brand ranking, rising to 20.4% against 12.6% in second position, Toyota (+7.7%) lags behind the market. Kia (+20.5%) is also in good shape in third place, while Nissan (+5.6%) is weak but overtakes the falling Hyundai (-19.6%) into 4th place. Mazda (+82%) and BMW (+50.3%) show the largest gains in the top ten, Mercedes (+23.5%) is also very dynamic. In contrast, Renault (-15.4%) and Mitsubishi (-14.3%) are struggling.
