In September, Dacia sales in Morocco increased by 42.4%.
The Moroccan new passenger car market grew 22.6% year on year to 14,398 sales, with slow volumes affected by an earthquake a year ago. Passenger vehicles were up 25% to 12,684 and light commercial vehicles were up 7.3% to 1,714. Year-to-date PC sales were up 3.5% to 109,848. Dacia (+42.4%) strengthens its position in the brand ranking with a share of 27.6% versus 26% this year. Renault (+11.3%) and Hyundai (+10%) are much more timid and are not keeping up with market growth. Next come Volkswagen (+88.9%), Peugeot (+26.5%) and Citroen (+22.5%), while BMW (+41.5%) and Mercedes (+50.8%) also shine below. MG (+150%) and BYD (+410%) stand out below.
