Pakistan February 2024: Market up 68.5% on devastated year-ago result

Toyota Corolla Cross is estimated to be ranked 10th in Pakistan this month.

Sales of locally manufactured passenger cars were up 68.5% from last year’s particularly dismal performance to 9,709 units. Since the beginning of the year, this figure has increased by 21.7% to 20,245, according to the local association PAMA. Please note that not all manufacturers present in Pakistan are members of PAMA, such as Kia, Changan and MG, and therefore do not appear in these statistics. Note. Chery also recently stopped sharing sales data. Suzuki (+399.5%) returns to its inexorable dominance with a 50.3% share and is solely responsible for this month’s market growth: Sazgar Haval (+45.4%), Toyota (+12.9%), Honda (-7.3%) and Hyundai. (-38.6%) are not catching up. In the model segment, Suzuki Alto’s share (+520%) increased to 34.7% against 31.4% this year. Suzuki Swift (+889.6%) and Cultus (+344.4%) are also growing rapidly.

Previous month: Pakistan January 2024: Sazgar Haval H6 #3 in the market fell by only -3%.

One year ago: Pakistan February 2023: Hyundai (-13.5%) fights back in market devastated by production problems (-73.4%)
