Qatar H1 2024: Geely (+56.4%), Mitsubishi (+43.1%) stand out


Geely’s sales grew by 56.4% compared to the first half of the year.

31,659 new cars hit Qatar’s roads in H1 2024, up 10.4% year-on-year. Impressively, all four top brands are outperforming the market. Toyota (+13.4%) is the clear leader with a 34.6% share, ahead of Nissan (+19.5%). Kia (+28.1%) is up two places compared to H1 2023 to third place, ahead of Mitsubishi (+43.1%), which is up four places to fourth place. Geely (+56.4%), Hyundai (+23.4%) and Suzuki (+19.8%) are also impressive in the rest of the Top 10, while Lexus (-23.6%), Land Rover (-17.5%) and MG (-7.7%) are down.

In terms of models, the Toyota Land Cruiser (+17.7%) further strengthens its position to 13.7%, while the Toyota Hilux (+7.2%) overtakes the Lexus LX (-28.7%) to take 2nd place. The Toyota Yaris Sedan (+111%) benefits from a new generation and climbs six places to 4th place. The Toyota Fortuner (+201.4%), Kia Pegas (+94.2%), Nissan Sunny (+28%) and Patrol (+22.8%) also shine. Geely Emgrand (+745.8%) pulls ahead and ends the period in 10th place.
