Thailand October 2024: Neta up to record #8

The new X takes Neta to a record position in Thailand.

In October, 40,630 new passenger cars found buyers in Thailand, up from 43,568 in September. Toyota falls again to a still dominant share of 41.9%, down from 42.8% last month. Honda shares fall to 12.2% and end the month just 36 sales ahead of Isuzu. Mitsubishi remains in 4th place, ahead of Ford, BYD and MG, meaning September figures for the seven biggest brands are unchanged. Neta was ranked 8th with a 2.8% share, up from 1.7% last month when it was ranked 10th. This is believed to be the highest Neta rating ever in Thailand (or in the world for that matter). We remind you that Neta assembles cars locally. Another impressive player, also from China, is Ora, which rose eight places in September to 13th place, ahead of well-known brands such as Suzuki, Volvo and Hyundai.

In the model charts this time, the top five are identical to September. The Toyota Hilux retains its lead, but its market share has fallen to 11.6% from 13.3% last month. It is followed by the Isuzu D-Max with 9.1%, followed by the Toyota Yaris Ativ, Yaris Cross and Honda City. The Toyota Corolla Cross, Ford Ranger and Mitsubishi Xpander move up one spot from the previous month, taking advantage of the Honda HR-V’s fall from 6th to 9th place. The Honda Civic moved up 7th position to 14th place, while the BYD Dolphin moved up from 10th to 15th place. Neta X falls right into 20th place.
