Turkiye November 2024: Record market, Ford, Volkswagen and Peugeot stand out

Ford sales rose 41.5% year over year in November.

Sales of new passenger cars in Turkey rose 5.3% year on year to 121,094, a new record for the month. The YTD figure now deviates by -0.5% from the 2023 record pace of 1,068,260. Fiat (-17.2%) regains the first place it held YTD, despite a sharp drop compared to last year. Renault (-2.9%) dropped to second place and is also in the red, but the next four automakers are all ahead of the market. Ford (+41.5%) is ahead of Volkswagen (+31.7%), Peugeot (+30.5%) and Opel (+6.9%). Local electric vehicle maker Togg (-4.1%) returned to the top 10 for the first time since May last year. Further impressive are Tesla (+106.7%), Seat (+104.6%) and BMW (+77.7%).

In the ranking of passenger car models, Fiat Egea Sedan (+8.5%) again leads with a share of 6.8%, ahead of Renault Clio (+7.1%). The Togg T10X (-4.1%) repeats its excellent third place behind the Renault Megane Sedan (-31.5%) and Toyota Corolla Sedan & Estate (-5.9%), both in terms of complexity. In October, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max rose again by 8 positions and returned to the 7th position, which it has occupied since the beginning of the year. Also note the strong performance of the Peugeot 408 (+137.7%), VW T-Cross (+107.9%) and Tesla Model Y (+106.7%).
