Thanks to SMMT, we can share with you the top 10 bestsellers for each UK country for March. Keep in mind that these are increases by country, all sales figures are already included in the UK March 2024 update. Scotland is the fastest growing this month with +16.9% year on year to 27,380 sales, followed by Northern Ireland with +13.7% to 5,860 sales, England with 9.9% to 273,292 sales and Wales with + 8.9% to 10,911 sales. In the first quarter, Scotland again performed best with +14.1% to 45,962, ahead of Northern Ireland with 14,750 (+10.8%), England with 465,271 (+10.2%) and Wales with 18,794 (+ 8.8%).
The following cars finished on the podium: Nissan Qashqai – No. 1 in England and No. 1 since the beginning of the year against No. 2 in the UK overall, No. 4 in Northern Ireland and Scotland, Vauxhall Corsa – No. 1 in Northern Ireland and Scotland, Ford Puma No. 1 in Wales, No. 2 in England and Northern Ireland, BMW 1 Series No. 2 in Scotland, Kia Sportage No. 2 in Wales, Nissan Juke No. 3 in England, Peugeot 2008 No. 3 in Northern Ireland and No. 9 in Scotland, Peugeot 208 No. 3 in Scotland and VW T-Roc No. 3 in Wales.
