UK nations September 2024: VW Polo scores two podium finishes

The VW Polo ranks third in Scotland and Wales.

Thanks to SMMT, we can share with you the top 10 bestsellers for each UK country for September. Keep in mind that these are increases by country: all sales figures are already included in the UK September 2024 update. Scotland performed best this month, +3.2% to 25,344 units, followed by Northern Ireland +1.3% to 4,617 units and England +1% to 235,429 units. Wales is the only country with a negative indicator -4.8% to 9653. Since the beginning of the year, this time Northern Ireland is developing most dynamically with +8.5% to 39.17, ahead of Scotland with +5.8% to 132,518, England from +4.1% to 1,286,937 and Wales +3.2% to 53,062.

Finishing on the podium:

Kia Sportage – No. 1 in England and Northern Ireland and No. 2 in Scotland and Wales, Vauxhall Corsa – No. 1 in Scotland, Ford Puma – No. 1 in Wales and No. 3 in England, Tesla Model Y – No. 2 in England, Hyundai Tucson No. 2 in Northern Ireland, No. 3 Nissan Juke in Northern Ireland and No. 3 VW Polo in Scotland and Wales.

Other standout models include the #4 Peugeot 3008 in Northern Ireland and Wales, the #4 Volvo XC40 in Scotland and #6 in Wales, the #6 Vauxhall Mokka in Scotland, the #8 Vauxhall Grandland in Scotland, the #9 Toyota Yaris in Wales, the Mercedes A. -Class No.10 in England and Kia Picanto No.10 in Wales.
