Sales of Toyota Land Cruiser in Yemen increased by 34.9% year on year.
New car sales in Yemen fell by -5.5% year-on-year in the first 9 months of 2024 to 6,472 units. Toyota (-4%) increases its share to 94.7% versus 93.3% a year earlier. No, that’s not a typo, and this is by far Toyota’s highest market share in the world. The remaining brands share the crumbs: Lexus (-19.5%) is No. 2 with a share of 1.6%, Suzuki (+6.9%) is No. 3 with a share of 1.2%. Isuzu reappears in the charts at number 4. In terms of model, the Toyota Hilux (-13.5%) easily holds the lead, but is overtaken by the Land Cruiser (+34.9%). Land Cruiser Pickup (-34.9%) is in free fall in third place, ahead of Fortuner (+58%) and Prado (+16.7%).
