Aston Martin supercars will go electric
07/26/2021
Automotive News Europe, citing the head of the Aston Martin brand, reports that all of the brand’s front-engine supercars will become electric. Essentially, the company will get rid of the petrol V8 and V12, which to this day are equipped with most models.
We are talking about the Aston Martin DB11, Vantage and DBS Superleggera models. There are no technical details about the powertrains yet. It is only known that the manufacturer will provide at least 600 kilometers of power reserve.
However, a number of Aston Martin models will remain with internal combustion engines, but only as part of hybrid power plants. These are the Valkyrie, Valhalla, Vanquish and the DBX crossover.
More than a year ago, Aston Martin announced the launch of its first electric car in 2025, which should be followed by an electric crossover.
