Claimed range of the Ford F-150 Lightning measured with a load in the bed

Last week, Ford introduced the F-150 Lightning pickup truck, pleasantly surprising with decent technical characteristics. However, it turned out that in fact its capabilities are even wider than what the manufacturer stated.

Popular US Youtube blogger Marcus Brownlee tested the electric F-150 and found that the top version’s claimed range of 300 miles (480 km) corresponds to a maximum range with a load of 450 kg.

According to the blogger, a test Ford F-150 Lightning with no cargo in the back and a battery level of about 80% gave a remaining range of 367 miles (588 km). This means that when fully charged, the range of the top version of the pickup truck is close to 400 miles or 640 km.
