Electric vehicles will dominate sales in Europe, Asia and the US sooner than expected

As stated in a recent study by EY.com, the position of electric vehicles in the markets of Europe, Asia and the United States will become stronger than traditional cars with internal combustion engines about 5 years earlier than previously expected. Experts came to this conclusion after analyzing the dynamics of key markets and development prospects.

Based on the results of the analysis, it was concluded that in Europe electric cars will dominate already in 2028, in China – by 2033, and in the USA – in 2036. Europe will become the world leader in sales of electric cars until 2031, after which the initiative will be intercepted by China.

At the same time, according to researchers, sales of environmentally friendly transport will account for 99% of the total market volume worldwide by 2045.

However, experts note that such indicators are unattainable without further development of government support measures, at least in most developed countries. It is important not only to stimulate sales of electric vehicles, but also to build the necessary infrastructure.
