Mercedes presented a number of electric new products (and even a Gelendvagen!)

EQG
The electric Gelendvagen certainly became the highlight of the program for the presentation of electric Mercedes. At the same time, the presented EQG is not a concept car at all, but a prototype close to mass production.
Mercedes-Benz is not talking about technical characteristics yet. It is known that the EQG will have four electric motors, and its off-road capability will not be inferior to the gasoline G-class. By the way, the EQG is built precisely on its platform: instead of developing a “trolley” for the electric Gelika from scratch, Mercedes used the existing design with a frame, independent front suspension and a solid rear axle; To install electric power units, only the existing transmission had to be modified.
E.Q.E.
The electric replacement E-class was presented to the public for the first time also last weekend. This electric car will take place one step below the EQS executive sedan.
The EQE is based on the same platform as its older brother – perhaps this explains the external similarity of electric cars (except for the 20-centimeter difference in body length). To date, the initial rear-wheel drive version of the EQE 350 has been presented with a 292-horsepower engine producing 530 Nm located on the rear axle. Acceleration to 100 km/h from standstill is 5.6 seconds. at a maximum speed of 209 km/h. The battery capacity is 90.6 kilowatt-hours, which provides a range of up to 660 km.
Also, Mercedes claims that the all-wheel drive EQE will debut soon.
AMG EQS 53
A sportier and more aggressive version of Mercedes’ flagship electric car will appear in dealer showrooms in early 2022. The AMG version is based on the EQS 580 4Matic modification. Judging by the exterior and interior, it cannot be said that the electric car has undergone dramatic changes, however, some technical characteristics are much superior to the “donor”.
The AMG EQS 53 power plant produces 649 hp and 949 Nm (versus 524 hp 855 Nm for the “original”). It is also possible to briefly increase the engine power to 751 hp. 1020 Nm. It is known that the AMG version uses the 107-kilowatt battery from the regular EQS 580 without changes.
