Porsche introduced new versions of the Taycan – GTS and GTS Sport Turismo

Today Porsche presented a new modification of the Taycan under the family index GTS. The debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show took place for both the sedan and the Sport Turismo version.

In the Taycan hierarchy, the new product is located between the 4S and Turbo versions. The older version of the GTS received electric motors on the front and rear axles, as well as a two-speed transmission (on the rear axle), however, the total power is limited to 590 hp. versus 670 hp for the Taycan Turbo. In addition, the GTS comes standard with an 800-volt, 93.4-kilowatt-hour Performance Battery Plus.

The main advantage of the GTS is a power reserve of 504 kilometers with decent dynamic characteristics.

Particular differences between the Taycan GTS and other modifications lie in the external design elements and optional packages already available in the standard car. Thus, the GTS already “in the base” receives the SportDesign styling package with an aerodynamic body kit, 20-inch Aero Design wheels and black accents in the design of some parts, including side mirrors and optics. Options that come standard on all GTS include adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management, torque vectoring, the Sport Chrono package and a steering wheel with drive mode selector.

Porsche says first deliveries of the Taycan GTS to dealers will begin in spring 2022.
