The BMW i3 will leave the market in 2022.
07/05/2021
The era of the BMW i3 is coming to its logical end – the Bavarian automaker has confirmed that the compact electric car will leave the market in 2022. The model will have neither a next generation nor a direct successor.
BMW confirmed that the model’s withdrawal from the market is due to the electrification of the main model range. In particular, we know about plans to launch an electric 1-series hatchback and a small crossover iX1, which will take the place of the i3.
It is worth noting that the BMW i3 has been on the production line for quite a long time. The production of the first serial copies began back in 2013.
