DTM: Jamie Green takes race 2 pole postion at Lausitzring

By Tarek Ramchani

Jamie Green is unstoppable at the Lausitzring. Following a dominant race victory yesterday in race 1, the British driver took an amazing pole position for today’s race 2. And as was the case yesterday it was a complete Audi domination.

The Audi Sport Team Rosberg driver was the fastest overall with his #53 Audi RS 5 DTM. Jamie Green set a best time of 1:17.386.

Mattias Ekstrom was second fastest driving his Red Bull backed #5 Audi RS 5 DTM. The Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline ace was 0.520 behind Green’s best time.

Third place went to double DTM champion Timo Scheider. The Audi Sport Team Phoenix driver set a personal best time of 1:17.931.

Miguel Molina who took pole position yesterday in the opening qualifying session was fourth fastest. The Spanish driver at  Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline set a personal best time of 1:17.940.

Edoardo Mortara (Audi Sport Team Abt) was sixth. Nico Mueller (Audi Sport Team Rosberg) was ninth. Mike Rockenfeller (Audi Sport Team Phoenix) was tenth. Bad luck again for Adrien Tambay (Audi Sport Team Abt) he was only twentieth.

Race 2 will follow next, a 1-hour event with a mandatory pit-stop.
