The Audi Sport custome racing teams performed very well in the Spa 24 Hours qualifying sessions.
The Audi R8 LMS ultra cars were among the fastest in this demanding Blancpain Endurance Series. A total of four cars made it to Super Pole qualifying session which will be held today afternoon.
The best ranked Audi R8 LMS ultra was the #3 car from Belgian Audi Club Team WRT in a very strong second overall. The car is driven by Christopher Mies, Frank Stippler and James Nash. The three drivers set a best time of 2:19.130, just 0.041s behind the leading #77 BMW Z4 GT3 from BMW Sports Trophy Team Marc VDS.
The #1 Audi R8 LMS ultra from Belgian Audi Club Team WRT made it into the Top 5. Laurens Vanthoor, René Rast and Markus Winkelhock set a best time of 2:19.443.
The Pro-Cup entry from Sainteloc Racing was sixth fastest. Stéphane Ortelli, Edward Sandstrom and Gregory Gulivert sharing the #26 Audi R8 LMS ultra with a best time of 2:19.579.
The three-time Le Mans 24 Hours winners André Lotterer, Benoit Treluyer and Marcel Fassler were eleventh driving the #2 Audi R8 LMS ultra from Belgian Audi Club Team WRT.
The ISR Racing Team #75 Audi R8 LMS ultra had a strong night session ending a second place with a best time 2:21.418 but it wasn’t enough to enter the Top 20 overall and move to Super Pole.
